30 Days of Biking, Day 14
Rode the Linear Trail in Manhattan first thing this morning, before the storms kicked in. Now I know what those folks have been talking about on the forums and Facebook. The trail is almost perfectly flat, except for occasional short kick-ups for what appear to be flood control gates. Most of it is crushed limestone, pretty easy to ride with road tires (deflated to about 80 psi) except for a couple of places with ruts and gravel where you have to be cautious.
Would I ride it again? Probably not, because I like more of a challenge, but there were plenty of joggers, dog walkers, and hybrid cyclists who were having a great time.
For those of you who missed it last time: EMAW.
