30 Days of Biking, Day 2

I was headed out the door at noon today when my boss called me in to deliver the latest assignment. Then he said, “That’s it. Go ride your bike.”

Virginia creeper shootI’m grateful to work so close to decent singletrack that I can ride it for 30 minutes over lunch. I’m grateful for a shower at work to clean off the mud when I return. And I’m grateful for a supervisor who understands that employees work better if they can blow off some steam in the middle of the day.

Today’s photo is probably a tree sprout, so newly born that its leaves are furled like the stamens on a freaky lily. It almost certainly didn’t look the same an hour later. Such a great, unexpected find out on the trail.

Passionate about Bicycling

I don't bicycle for a living, but I do bicycle to live. It's that simple.
