Merry Christmas, Topeka Community Cycle Project

Total mileage:  3,125

I was a very lucky woman this year, receiving both a new bicycle and a beautiful pannier.  Because I’m so spoiled, it’s especially important to share my good fortune with others.  And that’s why recently I donated the Specialized Crossroads to the Topeka Community Cycle Project.  They seemed happy to get it, despite the fact that it:

  • has tons of miles on it (thousands–I don’t even know how many),
  • is heavy as a millstone (but always up to the task of hauling watermelons from the farmers market), and
  • needs new brake cables and probably a few other less important components.

Some needy person in Topeka should get loads more miles out of it, once it’s been cleaned up and tricked out.

Merry Christmas, TCCP.  And here’s wishing you a fruitful and happy 2011!

Passionate about Bicycling

I don't bicycle for a living, but I do bicycle to live. It's that simple.
